The board is empowered to review and analyze the policies relating to the environmental quality of the city, to act as an advisory board to the city council, the city manager, and the department in their efforts to oversee the protection and integrity of the natural environment, promote growth management and land use planning, minimize degradation of water resources, protect downstream areas, and promote recreation opportunities and environmental awareness.

I did a little bit of everything, including project management, marketing, even IT support. But my primary duty is design, production, and construction administration for a wide range of landscape architectural projects.

As a project manager at this firm specializing in parks, trails, schools, and streetscapes, my duties included scheduling, invoicing, managing staff and subconsultants, giving presentations, administering contracts, communicating with clients, and overseeing all phases of multiple projects. Key projects include the Davis Park Master Plan, The Preserve at Redwood Shores, Lower Silver Creek Trail Master Plan, and San Bruno Medians.

My duties included conceptual design, design development, construction document production, construction administration, graphic presentation, and project management on a wide variety of projects including mixeduse, commercial, park, riverwalk, cemetery, zoo, hotel, and residential. I was closely involved in the renovation of the historic Pearl Brewery site into an upscale mixed-use development, a project that earned a 2007 Texas ASLA Honor Award. Other projects included the Laughlin Riverwalk Master Plan, the San Antonio Toyota plant and visitor’s center, and the San Antonio Country Club pool renovation.
