Founder of first Cyber Security focused reseller - Government Technology Solutions. Spent 18 years introducing new technologies and capabilities in cyber to Federal and SLED government users. Worked at high level - DepSec, Tech Director, Dept Director to discuss how to evaluate and deploy new capabilities. Sold the business to take some time with family and a break for 2 years. Got active again as Sr. Director of Business Development for TechTrend focusing on expanding their FedRAMP approved DevSecOps solution, expanding their partnership with Microsoft for Cloud, Power Platform, hosting services, development and developing DOD business for them. Got Navy to work on adding the DSO solution to their Overmatch program, brought TechTrend into many new partnerships with SAIC, NGC, Raytheon, BAE, and other primes. Got TechTrend added to Microsoft's JWCC Cloud contract, got the company added for the first time to the Microsoft METSS prime contract as sub, led them into Microsoft's Azure Space/Azure Orbital program as first reseller to talk about and promote it for future contracts, got Microsoft added to many contracts with key primes they had been shut out of.Got TechTrend into several OTA programs such as SpEC for Space Force, SOSSEC for AF, C5 for Navy and several others. Got them added to major program submissions such as meshONE for Space Force, Tranche1 for SDA, SE/SI for Navy, C5ISR for JSSOC, Platform One, and others. Then joined a experienced team brought on to help Optiv expand federal business. I focused on introducing them to OTA's and DOD business which they have very little of. Had multiple partnerships started, and momentum in Navy and Space Force - with long term projects started. Optiv purchased Clearshark and they brought in their own team and many Optiv people were let go. I was one of the last hired so guess what? Looking to continue thjnking outside the box - this is a great time for innovation.

Client ManagerOptiv Oct 2022 - Jun 2023Columbia, Maryland, United StatesOptiv is the largest Cyber Security company that brings all technologies, consulting, development, up to physical security under one corporate umbrella. We provide over 400 vendor technologies as well as help support, design, and manage all security requirements from a single trusted partner. My position was to develop business with the Navy, Space Force, Marine Corps - which Optiv had never done any major business with. I enrolled Optiv in their first ever OTA’s for both Navy and Space Force, arranged and signed TA’s with major primes they had never had relationships with before to pursue major projects, added Cloud business projects for the first time in Federal, as well as built visibility for Cloud and Microsoft as a partner at the corporate level. -

FounderGovernment Technology Solutions Jun 1997 - 2017California/Washington DcLong time veteran in the Cyber Security Industry (Pre Y2K) who helped many new companies get introduced and adopted, I have had the unique opportunity to observe the evolution of networks, cloud, mobile, and cyber. I saw what worked, what was a flash in the pan, what was a great idea but took a long time to get noticed, what was the pure marketing and companies you wanted to stay away from. I am very aware on "the human factor". We have over 1500 cyber security companies - can not deploy them all. We have some really smart people, but if you overload them you shut them down. We have plenty of funding in the public sector space, but regulations and contract/policy procedures which prevent our governments (Federal, state and local) from being able to respond and protect their data at the speed they are being breached. I have 30 years of writing contracts, submitting proposals, handling complaints, discovering fraud, staffing new programs, and seeing the results. My focus now is on "The Human Factor". How can I help the people in a organization make the best use of their available resources. I have seen many times how "minor" changes to organizational operations (user, vendor, public policy makers) can result in very major improvements in efficiency and results. -
FounderGovernment Technology Solutions Jun 1997 - Oct 2016Shingle Springs CaAfter building from scratch 2 public sector divisions for resellers that resulted in over 500% growth (after both had been in business 10 years) I focused on what I believed would be a big issue for the future - Cyber Security during the Y2K days. New manufactures and technologies were not getting attention during this time, and Government was not asking for it (mainframes did not need cyber security). I helped introduce, define, validate, and implement the first Cyber programs in Government for technologies such as mail and gateway scanning, URL filtering, Proxy Firewalls, DLP, SIM, UTM, and many others. During this time I also worked with the Federal Government to help draft and write many of the policies and programs covering Cyber technologies such as the NIST 800 series controls, NIAP Certification, APL development, DoDD, Policy development at many agencies. I assisted manufacturers in Cyber Technologies to adopt and meet these requirements.
