About Robert Ryan
I am a Chartered Engineer and Associate in the Arup Ireland Infrastructure team and lead the Bridge, Civil Structures team in Cork.I have a broad range of experience having worked in a wide range of projects in a number of different Arup offices throughout the world. I joined the Cork Office in 2006 where I gained experience across a wide range of sectors including projects in the pharmaceutical, residential, retail, entertainment arena, and energy and flood protection sectors. In 2010 I relocated to the Brisbane Office where I worked on a variety of energy infrastructure projects such as LNG terminal design. I relocated to the London Office in 2012 to work on a number of notable civil structures and bridge projects including Lusail development, Doha, Qatar and the Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Southern Connections bridge in Hong Kong. I have since returned to the Ireland Office to join the Bridges/Civil/Structures team within Infrastructure Ireland and am currently lead engineer on projects such as Mary Elmes Pedestrian Cycle Bridge, Cork, Salmon Weir Pedestrian Cycle Bridge, Galway and Edmonton Light Rail, Edmonton, Canada
