3rd line support within a large Citrix/Windows server 2012 environment.

3rd line support working within a large highly secure environment. Day to day interaction with technologies such as VMware, Dell servers, Dell storage, Citrix Xenapp 6.5, Windows server 2008/2008 Storage Edition/Server 2012/Windows 7/Windows 8.. Involved with various project’s, as well as testing interaction of new technology for the business.

• Technical advisor to sales and Business development • Onsite installation of networking and security products e.g. Firewalls and Email appliances.• Providing after sales technical support • Pre-sales product demonstration for various platforms such as Sophos Email Appliance, Sophos Astaro UTM firewall, Sophos Endpoint security, and Sophos Safeguard encryption. • Liaising directly with a large Government and NHS customer base. Covering England, Scotland and Northern Ireland• Building test environments specific to customer needs, using tools such as VMware and Virtualbox • Writing scripts to automate software removal, and aid the assistance to roll out replacement AV solutions across large domain infrastructures

• Migrating all Art Group IT systems to Pyramid. • Setup a new site in London, coordinated the installation of all site services, finalised by the installation of all key IT systems. • Advised on Pyramid's head office move in the coming months. Working with the MD and FD to formulate a site migration plan, plus the setup of a workable print environment. Warehouse workflow implementation & guidance.

• Installation, configuration and commissioning of a 45 server, multi site setup, based on Windows server technology, including Dell / EMC fibre channel SAN supporting 200+ users • Management of technical staff - Personal Development Plans and organising team members across four sites. Introducing a standardised IT policy for the business.• Implemented the installation of a Mitel VOIP telephone platform, migrating from a previous Avaya Index switch – involved third party management and staff training.• Implemented a centralised helpdesk system using Spiceworks. This delivered an integrated knowledgebase & IT asset database. • Co-ordinated the installation of all facilities within a new site. • Managed a migration to Exchange 2003, introducing Blackberry and iPhone sync capabilities and a bespoke Blackberry server.• Redesigned the company disaster recovery system including new hardware and offsite locations. • Architect of new VMware, and SAN technology - offering centralised virtual environment, including full redundancy, site to site failover, and disaster recovery.
