As a team coach for Pro Skills Basketball, I have the privilege of partnering with parents, players, and other coaches to leverage the power of sport to positively impact and empower the next generation of leaders and athletes. I volunteer for Cultural Communities which is a ministry of CelebrateRecovery dedicated to ensuring that communities of color and their families have a safe space to find healing and recovery.

Being a part of this organization was an awesome experience as I was stretched beyond what I thought I was capable of doing. I had the privilege of partnering with the Senior Pastor to plan our worship services according to his message and vision for Sunday morning celebrations. I was also responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, overseeing vocalists, musicians, media/visual arts, tech, and sound, in addition to leading the band from the stage. Scheduling and communication with the creative team members was done using Planning Center Online, and I ensured that we were fully compliant with Christian Copyright Laws.

After being a part of a weddings and events company, I decided to venture out on my own to start my own company. I coordinated events for weddings, schools, and corporate events where I conducted face-to-face meetings, managed and grew relationships, and provided live music and entertainment.

As a Disc Jockey, I also had to wear the hat of being an event coordinator. This was a very face-paced environment that required quick critical thinking skills to make sure that our brides had a worry-free experience (well, as close as we could get). To meet their needs, most of the work was done upfront during our face-to-face meetings. This is where I asked as many questions as possible to obtain every detail pertaining to the requirements for the event. Gathering information ensured that all guests were taken care of and all needs were met. I made it a priority to provide clients with quality service while maintaining integrity, reliability, and trust.My role as an Account manager required me to increase sales via prospecting, networking, and generating and qualifying leads. I researched target markets and implemented appropriate sales strategies to acquire new clients while assisting with marketing and branding activities. Roger Beasley Imports consists of several different locations here in Austin, TX. I worked for the Roger Beasley Mazda Central location. My workload consisted of identifying and diagnosing mechanical problems, testing/inspecting automotive parts to ensure proper functioning, estimating parts and costs needed for repair, follow-through on repair orders, and participate in ongoing training and certification events.

After training and being a lube technician for a couple months, I was promoted to the Automotive Service Manager position. I was responsible for maintaining a daily record of all transactions, hiring and training new service technicians, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints, maintaining accurate inventory reports, keeping track of incoming and outgoing products, completing weekly schedules according to payroll policies and needs, determining staff promotions and demotions, and writing order supply requests to replenish merchandise.
