Embedded code running on the switch and a Windows Visual Studio GUI front end running on a PC. Used in system test of our Ethernet switches as well as debugging and troubleshooting during product validation testing. Saved over $5M on new testing equipment on the first product it was used for. Is still used on all new programs saving millions of dollars on test equipment each time.• Traffic generator GUI allows configuration of traffic parameters, control of frame capturing, starting and stopping network traffic and saving configurations. Includes a TCL library of functions that mirror the GUI for controlling the traffic generator via TCL scripts. • Development of Manufacturing System Final Test scripts in TCL running on the traffic generator. • Development of a User Manual and TCL Reference for the traffic generator. • Delivered software solutions consistent with the product roadmap and release plan milestones.• Got patent for software implementation part of traffic generator in switching ASIC.

Development of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) software for Inertial Navigation Systems.• Developed and integrated Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test programs for various Inertial Navigation Systems including F18, F22, E2C, LN39 and Cruise Missile in ATLAS and Fortran. • Developed Object Oriented Pascal based data collection and statistic displays for LN39 Inertial Navigation Unit. Requested data messages from the INU over 1553 and displayed the message data in user definable format while continuously updating the screen in real time. • Developed a 1553 Traffic Generator and Capture Tool application using a 1553 board in a VME chassis. Connects to INU via 1553 serial bus. Traffic and display screens fully configurable with text based ‘GUI’ on a VT100 dumb terminal. • Helped develop an Interpretive Scripting Language tailored to the testing of Navigation Systems and components. Running in the UNIX environment and written in C running on a test system composed of a PC, 1553 interface card, digital and analog I/O plus various special purpose interface cards. • Developed test software running on a 68020 processor card in a VME system. Written in C with a small amount of assembly and was responsible for the interface between the Inertial Navigation Unit and the test system. • Designed and implemented a graphical interactive data plotting package to plot data collected on these various test systems.• Maintained a network of 30 Sun workstations running electrical design and simulation, PCB creation and mechanical drafting/modeling software applications. Supported users, installing software and hardware, system tuning and maintenance, backups. Wrote shell scripts and C programs as necessary.
