As a DocuTap Super User, I have trained over 100 doctors and staff members on the EHR computer system DocuTap. Several months before a fix was implemented company-wide, I noticed and adjusted my training methods to avoid common problems in documenting HPI after choosing a template, as well as the problems with providers inappropriately documenting in certain areas of the Review of Systems. This increased the charting efficiency of my trainees and reduced (through prevention) +20% to 50% of additional charting errors that would place a claim on hold. This increased efficiency in charting allowed us to bill as much as $1,000 to $8,000 more per week without delay.
