Contracted by a startup company to fully develop EVJect Escape Connector, a high voltage/current (480V–400A) EV safety breakaway charging adapter for Tesla Superchargers, ready for mass production. This challenging development project and the initial mass production and quality system was completed, tested then tooled up and running with initial production in 6 months.Watch Cool Video of EVJect in action: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/192MAg5zG1daNQ8VLBm9Ct9rtG87xjlbK • Solved challenging safety and performance issues in the EVJect product, a unique high-voltage, 480V – 400A breakaway EV charging adapter for Tesla Superchargers, ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards.• Collaborated with the product inventor to implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements, refining materials selection and optimizing tolerances resulting in a cost-effective, mass-producible product.• Performed extensive design and validation testing, including environmental and electrical stress tests, to guarantee product robustness, long-term reliability, compliance to standards and consumer safety.• Qualified and arranged vendors and setup the production, implemented an ISO 9001 based quality assurance system, enhancing product reliability. Oversaw the production of 1,300 units, addressing and solving challenges. • In addition, helped rapidly prototype two beautiful, production looking futuristic EV related concepts for the SEMA automotive trade show, which significantly increased market interest in the company.
