Cyber4Seniors was established with a charter to offer targeted Cyber Security training via group based instructor led classroom instruction, 1:1 tutoring, and virtual classroom experiences to the senior citizen community. During the pandemic and the years that followed, Senior Citizens experenced extreme isolation with greater severity, and at higher rates than the other generations. An increase in the sophistication of internet savvy criminals paired with global instability of economies during extreme changes to the way of life for billions of people, cyber crime and fraud commited gainst senior citizens jumped 62%+, realizing over $3.1 billion dollars of lost economic capability to senior citizens.After some purposefully slow growth spent learning our customers, we grew to several instructors holding regular lessons in the banquet halls of senior centers with classes of 20+ seniors at a time, and at our peak we held 25+ classes per day across the pay area 6 days a week all with the goal of providing customers with fundamental basics in cyber security and digital best practices such as:• MFA enrollment, activation, and continued use• Phone and Bond/bail fraud avoidance• How to identify, and report cyber crime and fraud• Phishing and how not to fall prey to fraud offline• How to update individual devices to current versions • Wireless security basics and VPN usage• How to manage passwords without reusing • How to use OSInt tools, zoom and FaceTime to verify identity• Online purchasing using virtual card numbers• How to set up and use a digital wallet • Pro-active cyber-security essentials
