Research, plan, analyze and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems with a focus on pumps used to circulate heat transfer fluids. Coordinate and help direct activities involved in fabrication, design, testing, and repair to meet customer driven schedules. Perform and present structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as thermal analysis using CFD and hand calculations to ensure designs withstand flight conditions that will be tested during qualification per customer requirements. Present technical analysis and predicted performance at customer design reviews that proves the maturity of the program’s design is appropriate to support proceeding full-scale fabrication

Design, analyze, prototype and test mobile satellite systems for professional and consumer use. Create and maintain Solidworks drawings and assemblies. Program 3-axis mills for production of aluminum and plastic parts. Create documentation for current system assemblies as well as for updated changes including engineering change orders and BOM’s. Interact with vendors to place purchase orders for custom parts. Design tooling to increase ease of manufacturing.

Assisted chief engineer with design of rotary engine components for use in a variety of motor vehicle applications. Conducted stress testing and analysis on mechanical systems for use in vehicles. Assisted chief fabricator with machining custom components to design specifications. Assisted with fabrication of custom fiberglass body parts for prototypes flying cars.

Assisted with a variety of engineering, product testing, and product documentation functions for thermal control systems on aeronautical and space crafts. Wrote test reports for Jet Propulsion Laboratory from chief engineer’s notes. Developed data point mapping programs in Visual Basic to consolidate information from the coordinate measuring machines.
