I had the honor of serving as the Chair of the PwC International Network from 2016 to 2024. Prior to serving as Global Chair, I was PwC US chairman and senior partner and spent 39 years in numerous roles including head of the US Assurance practice, managing partner in the New York region, and a global role with PwC Japan advising European and US-based financial services organizations operating across Asia. I held numerous roles with external organisations focused on addressing global challenges including:• Board member of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, aimed at building a coordinated global effort to enable the private sector to accelerate the achievement of global climate, biodiversity and Sustainable Development Goal targets.• Member of various World Economic Forum groups including the International Business Council, a community of 120 global CEOs, where I was actively involved in initiatives to accelerate the global energy transition and identify a set of universal and industry-agnostic metrics that companies can report on to demonstrate sustainable value creation. I was also a member of its Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders to advance climate action, and its Advisory Board for the Centre for the New Economy and Society, aimed at shaping prosperous, inclusive and resilient economies and societies that create opportunity for all.• Chair of the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council (IBLAC) to Shanghai.• Chair of the Governing Board for the Center for Audit Quality, a non-partisan and non-profit group dedicated to enhancing investor confidence and public trust in the global capital markets.• Chair of the Global Leadership Council of Generation Unlimited, a UNICEF-affiliated organisation which focuses on helping young people develop skills for the future.• Trustee of The Conference Board• Member of the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy• HeForShe Impact Champion to accelerate progress towards gender equity.I currently sit on the board of the Oswego College Foundation.
