Established Ironshore's domestic casualty operations with an emphasis on primary GL and Excess Casualty business produced from wholesale and retail brokers. Recruited and hired the initial professional underwriting team. Created rating models with Actuarial support, underwriting guidelines, policy forms and operational procedures for the Excess Casualty Group. Initiated and presented treaty reinsurance proposal to market, securing overall support from Reinsurers on behalf of the Casualty Group.

Directed all Excess Casualty business for six branch offices with a growing portfolio of over $200M representing an 800% increase in volume. Maintained strong nationwide relationships with retail and wholesale brokers. Performed underwriting audits on all branch operations to ensure the integrity of the portfolio.Secured and managed support from Facultative and Treaty reinsurers including an Automobile Carve-out facility that increased Group premium volume by $40M annually and improved overall results for 5 years.
