City Attorney for City of Anaheim, Orange County’s largest city.Rob has 33 years of legal experience, including 27 years of representing public agencies. For 6 years prior to his current post, Rob served as the General Counsel of VTA. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and part of the VTA Executive Team, he managed an in-house full-service legal department with specializations in Transportation and Transit Law, Right of Way, Public Entity Law, Labor and Employment, Construction, Land Use, Litigation, Trials, Constitutional Law, Appellate Law, Eminent Domain, and Regulatory Law. Prior to VTA, he comprehensively litigated public agency matters and tried cases at all levels, including state and federal courts. He’s handled and argued appeals, including those up to the Ninth Circuit and California Supreme Court. His prior private sector experience at the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati included Securities, Intellectual Property, and Commercial Litigation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara and a Juris Doctorate from UCLA.
