Robert's expertise includes general management, sales, marketing, strategic partnerships, and building field sales and support teams to drive early adoption, proliferation as well as accelerating revenues and profit growth. His technology experience spans public and private semiconductor companies targeting computing, wireless networking and memory market segments. Robert is currently the President of Silicon Motion Inc. U.S.A. managing the business in the U.S. and Europe regions and helped grow the business at 35% CAGR in the past nine years since assuming the role. He is also responsible for corporate Marcom/PR, oversee U.S. strategic partnerships and investments, and serve as the General Manager of the Display SoC solutions product line. Prior to Silicon Motion, Robert held executive positions at public companies such as Spansion, IDT as well as two startups and also spent 9+ years at Intel in sales, marketing, and management positions. Robert is a board member of Monte Jade West Science & Technology Association and a mentor in its esteemed mentorship program for budding high-tech executives. He advices startup companies and often speak publicly on subjects ranging from technology, semiconductor market and leadership. Robert holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the U.C. Berkeley, MSEE from Santa Clara University, and completed the General Management Executive Program at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business as well as a CEO training program with Jack Welch
