Rob was Divisional CIO at Kuoni, a leading, global travel service provider. Kuoni’s Outbound and Specialist businesses (combined revenues c.EUR2bn) are pioneers in highly individual, personalised experiences based on its long history of destination knowledge and passion for travel. Reporting to CEO Outbound and Specialist and based between Zurich and London, Rob was responsible for technology and change in units across EMEA and Asia. Rob was also responsible for the Global IT common technology services function, delivering infrastructure, network and desktop services to all Kuoni businesses including 9,000 users globally.

A fast growing, award winning professional services business serving blue chip clients, Qedis has deep expertise in IT transformation and CIO-led project and programme delivery. The business guarantees its work and prides itself on helping clients build capability, not consulting dependency. As Principal, Rob was responsible for market development, sales and delivery of consulting services at ‘C’ level. Rob identified a market gap in business analysis and developed a new service (branded qBA) to meet the need, creating over 70 fee earning roles within 18 months.

Rob was responsible for business and IT programmes at Virgin. Managing the team of programme and project managers, business and functional analysts. Rob was responsible for the investment pipeline and delivery of projects and change across all the holiday brands.

Champion, manage and facilitate the development and delivery of the product planning processes and calendar to deliver timely and effective product innovation to market.Also reporting to CEO on business turnaround projects, focused on Customer Service.

Providing strategic leadership and operational management of IT relationships and project management on behalf of ecommerce, high street and call centre retail channels including Going Places (800+ stores) and MyTravel.com.

Responsible for managing the development and delivery of Global IT initiatives across the three key regions of UK, Northern Europe and North America. Focused on dynamic packaging for 15+ specialist business units across these regions.

As a Manager in the London practice of this major global consultancy, Rob specialised in leading Process Design and Business Analysis projects alongside software development. Rob led the UK on training and methods for business analysis. For 3 years he was also a manager in the ERP practice (Oracle/JD Edwards) with expertise in the finance modules working on European and Global projects.

Responsible for budgeting, monthly management reporting (UK & US GAAP) and finance process improvement. Rob also supported the implementation of the GEAC SmartStream ERP system, with responsibility for process design, system configuration, training and data conversion. The project reduced monthly reporting from 20+ to 5 days and supported major business growth at that time.
