Peoria Disposal Company and Area Disposal Service, Inc. are family owned companies that have served customers throughout Illinois since 1928. The PDC/Area family includes over 16 operations and more than 500 employees. Operating entities include: waste hauling, landfill disposal, recycling facilities, environmental compliance, and laboratory and related testing facilities.Responsible for all accounting, treasury, billing, collections, budgeting, and payroll functions. Deals directly with credit facilities and manages capital structure. In addition to finance oversight focuses on back-office operational efficiencies and process streamlining.

This included reliable capacity and energy procurement, forecasting, scheduling, and balancing, as well as monitoring the Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) and other regulatory impacts on the electric retail business. Managed a $ 150 million budget and 12 direct reports.

Responsible for 24/7 electric wholesale trading business that optimized generation assets, covered native load short positions, and managed all obligations to new unregulated retail load. Managed a team of 35.

Led business financial reporting, risk management/FAS 133 requirements, reviewed and approved all public filings (10K’s/10Q’s). Also responsible for all aspects of energy wholesale transactions, including natural gas acquisition and delivery, electric bulk power marketing, and gross margin reporting. Managed a $100 million natural gas/electricity purchase budget and a team of 15.

Cilcorp Energy Services, Inc. (CESI) was a subsidiary of CILCORP, Inc. which provided natural gas energy services to customers throughout Illinois. CESI allowed customers to leave the bundled utility service and obtain competitive market driven prices coupled with product flexibility.
