Leading an internal startup tasked with identifying and proving the value of new ways of working while delivering a new online platform for customers. This involved working across the organisation to build highly productive relationships between Proposition, Risk, Marketing, IT and Customer Operations. Following initial success the team and practices were expanded from the original cross functional team of 15 people to a new business line of 70+ people with further support from across the organisation. A range of new techniques, from continuous delivery to service design and gamification, were used to improve both delivery productivity and engagement with our customers by more than an order of magnitude.

Accountable for establishing and embedding matrix management across Change & IT population of ~500 improving performance management, resource management and capability development in support of project delivery.

Accountable for establishing and leading a new function including our first offshore test service. This involved a 5 year strategic partnership with IBM for test services, the introduction of release management across shared infrastructure and applications and the management of test environments.

Leading a transformation programme across Change and IT aimed at introducing a flexible sourcing model, enhanced governance and portfolio management in addition to changing the structure, process and working practices involved in the delivery of our UK investment portfolio.

Operating across IT development function in a process improvement capacity with a focus on Agile and Lean methodologies, involving both hands on project consultancy, critical project support and the selection and engagement of 3rd party consultants and coaches.
