As a member of the United States Naval Special Warfare Command team, the Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) operate and maintain a fleet of small craft that are used to conduct special operations missions, particularly those of the U.S. Navy SEALs.SWCC receive specialized training that focuses on special operations in the maritime environment, including craft and weapons tactics, techniques, and procedures. With a primary focus on clandestine infiltration and exfiltration of SEALs and other special operations forces, SWCC are responsible for providing dedicated, rapid mobility in shallow water areas where large ships cannot operate.SWCC possess a diverse range of capabilities, including Direct Action through coastline or rivers (such as strikes, captures, and ship takedowns by Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure), Special Reconnaissance, Coastal Patrol, and Interdiction of suspect ships and surface craft. Additionally, they have extensive training in tactical driving and convoy operations, which allows them to specialize in swift mobility.Working alongside SEALs, SWCC also provide security detail and evacuation during missions. To excel in this high-stress, combat-focused role, SWCC must be physically fit, highly motivated, and responsive in challenging situations.

Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients by analyzing their specific needs and exposures. Evaluate factors such as industry trends, business operations, and external variables to recommend appropriate insurance coverage tailored to mitigate potential risks.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving insurance requirements. Provide ongoing support by addressing inquiries, conducting policy reviews, and offering strategic advice to ensure clients have optimal coverage aligned with their changing circumstances.Market Research and Negotiation: Stay abreast of industry trends, insurance products, and market conditions to provide clients with up-to-date information. Negotiate with insurance carriers to secure competitive premiums and favorable policy terms, leveraging market knowledge to obtain the best possible coverage for clients.

Assesses, mentors, and instructs 300 candidates a year in job-related skills and academic knowledge leading to the selection of top candidates to continue through a 35-week Naval Special Warfare selection program. Coordinates outside support for the completion of daily training exercises. Manages administrative responsibilities such as candidate pay, weekly schedules, and course development.Confirms organizational readiness by ensuring required annual and biannual government training is completed by 12 staff members. Manages a $50k quarterly budget, acquiring necessary supplies and training equipment to effectively implement training curriculum.Instructs candidates in 50+ hours of Tactical Combat Casualty Care through hands-on training, lecture-style lessons, and real-world simulations, allowing the candidates to gain invaluable experience and understanding, ultimately becoming critical assets to their teams and communities.
