Joined Groupon as its first Growth Hacker for the Breadcrumb point of sale platform, driving adoption of Groupon's point of sales and payment processing terminals.A role at the intersection of engineering and marketing that is responsible for all aspects of digital marketing with an emphasis on the use of both creative and analytical approaches to achieving growth. Groupon went on contract my company MadLab, LLC for Breadcrumb's online marketing.

Greater San Diego Area

Responsible for product management as Access Nurses rebranded to Aya Healthcare. Divided time between San Diego and Costa Rica to build and manage a nearshore team of software engineers, designers and web developers to deliver an overhaul of the Aya application.Grew the unique users and registrations in the Aya network of nursing websites by an average of 13% monthly through both traffic growth as well as an iterative approach to conversion optimization that steadily grew engagement levels and dramatically improved conversion rates.

Responsible for the marketing and software development of the Access Nurses network of nursing websites during its growth from a $7 million company to $75 million, positioning itself as an early leader online in the nurse staffing industry. Launched dozens of products such as NurseTV.com, an early web video portal for nurses that featured a nursing reality show and grew a network of nursing websites that more than doubled in user engagement yearly.

Managed technical and logistical operations for a healthcare startup. Responsible for development and maintenance of online systems for the logistics of shipping containers internationally, and importing, shipping and warehousing them locally. Developed inventory tracking systems and processes to manage logistics and reduce storage and transport costs as we began to source from multiple overseas vendors in multiple countries such as China and Malaysia.

São Paulo Area, Brazil

Founded Fluency Now in São Paulo, Brazil offering language tutoring, translation and live interpreting services for multinational corporations. Built an online learning platform, community and social network at a stage when the internet was just beginning to penetrate Brazil and grew it to over 100,000 users before selling the company to move from Brazil back to the US.
