Selected accomplishments include:► Stabilized organization through company-wide restructuring and divestiture strategy. Reduced legacy assets under management to $4 billion and preserved more than $2 billion in AIG equity value.► Retained more than 90% of key staff needed to execute wind-down while reducing overall headcount by over 50% and annual operating costs by over $50 million. ► Based on results, earned substantial delegated authority. As sole voting member of Real Estate Investment Committee, was granted commitment authority of $75 million per transaction.► Following repayment of NY Federal Reserve Bank and US Treasury, led "re-boot" of business unit: Closed on more than $2.5 billion in new equity commitments to $8 billion of projects, with focus on ground-up development and value-added acquisitions. Assumed management of $20 billion global Commercial Mortgage Loan team, 100,000+ unit Affordable Housing Group and Stowe Mountain Resort. Reclaimed asset management responsibilities for Shanghai Centre mixed-use project; served as Chair of foreign ownership syndicate.
