Governance & Legal Aspects of Sport (UG) - Governing bodies in professional and amateur sports and their business models. Students will be exposed to the organizational structure and functions of governing bodies of sports at various levels, along with an examination of legal aspects of governance and risk management.Event Execution Capstone (UG): Students must integrate content from prior business and sport management courses through the implementation of a real event. Sports Law (Grad) - An analysis of contract law, tort law, antitrust law, labor law, collective bargaining, and administrative law as they relate to sport.Major Policy Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics (Grad): Organizational and governance structure of intercollegiate athletics and addresses major policy issues that college sport managers face in the 21st century. Among these issues are financial sustainability, legal issues related to federal antitrust laws, college sport and the IRS, NCAA compliance, Title IX, and issues related to athletes' rights and education.Esports Event Organization & Management (Grad): Opportunity to integrate the core skills and business concepts developed during the program. Students will develop a detailed master work plan for an esports event incorporating elements such as a financial plan, a marketing plan, and organizational plan.
