Optimization within the big picture - that sums up my research. I enjoy empirical work, solving problems, and making those solutions relevant to any audience. Cognitive flexibility, creativity, and lucid communication have led me to an eclectic, yet complementary repertoire of research. Currently, I'm on the faculty at Methodist University, teaching economics and statistics. Before my research and teaching, I am a Christian who always wants to get along with others, and help others succeed.Before coming to Methodist, I taught at Kennesaw State University near Atlanta, Georgia, and I briefly worked at The Sunwater Institute, a think tank near Washington, D.C. I hold an M.S. and Ph.D. in economics from Florida State University and a B.A. in economics and Russian from Wake Forest University.
