Full-time consultant contracted to the Environmental Sciences Division of the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) in Palatka, FL.• Quantified nutrient loading from reclaimed water land applications by creating a custom interface between ArcGIS and Excel to input data into a modified USDA hydrologic model. Output was visualized in ArcGIS to communicate the extent of reclaimed water runoff to natural waterways. Results were presented at professional conferences to obtain peer review and to encourage improved reclaimed water management. • Managed a geospatial, hydrologic, water quality database for several District programs. Administered QA checks for outliers that might result in laboratory reanalysis. • Directed groundtruthing and quality assurance for hyperspectral imagery project focused on delineating submerged aquatic species. Trained environmental technical staff in the proper collection of field data for later use in the ENVI Spectral Angle Mapper’s classification quality control checks. Created python script to automate extraction of field GPS data and populated attributes from the field survey sheets into geodatabases for further analysis.
