Led R&D Team for product line extensions and new technologies for the Summer's Eve line. Four direct reports.- Led collaborative initiative between R&D and marketing to scout, evaluate and finally select new technologies for future St. Ives launches.- Improved St. Ives natural credentials: “100% natural moisturizers”, “100% natural extracts”, and “Formulated without parabens and phthalates.” Improved natural credentials led to increased price point for brand.- Harmonized body wash bases leading to both reduced formulation costs and simplified supply chain.- Developed lotion formulation that improves quality, harmonizes formulation base across variants and saves company approx $500,000 per year.- Developed AHA / SPF 9 cream and lotion that clinical screening shows to be effective at evening skin tone and fading spots.- Shepherded new line positioning of “Fresh. Better. Naturally.” through legal and regulatory scrutiny.- Met facial care objectives by developing sulfate free scrubs, AHA facial pads and creamy cleanser that performs better than Neutrogena in blind testing.- Led effort to improve performance and achieve annual savings approximately $600,000 / year by reformulating Nexxus shampoos to use commodity surfactants- Oversaw Pro-Mend and Dualiste Styling.

Led development of Dove liquid cleansing, Dove lip and Vaseline products in Europe. Responsibilities included launching innovations, maintenance of current portfolio and collaborating with Technical Managers of the various European countries to introduce new products and create aggressive advertising. Four direct reports.- Led development and introduction of five new shower gels, four foam baths, two liquid soaps, six lip balms, and several body lotions.- Led cost savings initiatives to net approx. €650,000 savings per year along with batch time reductions.- Successfully defended Dove Firming Shower Gel from competitor challenge.- Created and led implementation of claim, “10 times more natural oil than a regular cream shower” for Dove Cream Oil Shower line-up.
