I provide freelance intellectual property services on an independent contractor basis thru AIP, LLC. I have represented individual inventors, start up companies, venture capital companies, and some of the largest corporations in the world. I develop comprehensive intellectual property strategies along with patent and trademark portfolios to protect new technologies while at the same time ensuring that the rights of third parties are respected. I have substantial experience enforcing intellectual property rights through litigation, from which I have come to understand the long term impact of decisions made during intellectual property portfolio development at early times when resources are limited. . I have over 20 years of hands-on experience with technologies such as stem cells, plant genetics, biologic therapeutics including antibody and receptor mimetics, food additives including live cells and biological macromolecules, food preparations and processing, diagnostic assays including DNA diagnostics and immunodiagnostics, and technologies as diverse as oil drilling equipment, direction sensing radiation detectors, polymer adhesives, coatings, medical devices including stents, intravenous infusion technologies, catheters, air purification devices, exercise equipment and pharmaceuticals and their dosage forms.I developed the underlying IP for Targeted Molecular Diagnostics which was acquired by Quintiles in 2006.
