24/7 Supervisor role in a busy Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub, some responsibilities include: • Build relationships with key partners such as adult and child Social Services, Health services and Education.• Represent Police in Multi-Agency Section 47 strategy meetings. Share information, agree a response plan and make decisions in the best interests of the child.• Take calls from police officers and give guidance on all safeguarding matters. • Assess child and adult protection reports and take responsibility for dissemination to partner services.• Risk assess domestic abuse cases dynamically with calls from officers at scene and ensure all reasonable measures were taken to safeguard the victim(s) and any other vulnerable persons present.

Detective constable, and later Acting Detective Sergeant • Investigate reports of serious child and vulnerable adult abuse, specialising in inter-familial and position of trust abuse• Attend joint Section 47 visits to children with social services• Investigation of historical abuse, one key case of mine was R V MELLOR, relating to a headteacher, home tutor and later a school governor, children's poet and professional photographer, who sexually abused multiple children in the 1970’s during home tutoring sessions. Successfully collated evidence from victims and witnesses in several countries, conducted a detailed digital forensic strategy leading to obtaining additional evidence from online activity and supported victims through court. Leading to multiple convictions and imprisonment of the defendant 40 years after their offences. • Conduct safeguarding and interventions with victims of high-risk domestic abuse• Trained in Achieving best evidence interview (ABE) and Specialist child abuse investigation development programme (SCAIDP)

Working as part of a team investigating high-harm crime that included: • High Risk Domestic Abuse • Rape • Robbery • Operation Airstream – Investigation into brothels operating in North Kent lead by an international OCG • Serious Assaults and Attempted Murder • Intent to supply drugs • Other cases of high harm or public interestIt was here I started to become involved in work around stalking that was relatively new legislation. Following a case of high risk domestic abuse I dealt with, the victim came with me to speak at several multi-agency conferences to share her experience and I was able to inform others on the emerging use and warning signs of technology and stalking.
