I learned to play guitar when I was in grade school. As a teenager, I became fascinated with the bass so I learned to play it. In 1973 I helped form and became the bass player for Time Express, a regionally successful southern rock, cover band. The band grew in popularity not only opening at concerts for popular recording artists but headlining concerts in multiple arenas and venues across the midwest.I left music for a time to attend college and law school. In 1979, my fiancee, now wife, presented me with an acoustic guitar as a wedding present. That thoughtful gift renewed my love affair with music. For the next 35 years, I practiced law, helped raise a family and wrote songs, occasionally performing with groups of musicians for special events.In 2012, I began recording a solo album of original music which I completed and released in 2013. Four years later, I retired from the practice of law to return to my passions: songwriting, recording and performing. For 8 years I taught a course in the music school at Indiana University Southeast on the legal aspects of the music industry. In 2018, I released two new singles, "Now and Then" and "Heal Myself". Both are available on Spotify, iTunes, CD Baby and most other digital retail outlets. Recently, I have been in the recording studio working on new music which is scheduled for release in the summer and fall of 2024. I am currently performing as a solo artist in venues across the midwest and southeast. My live performances are in a variety of venues and can include cover songs featuring well known music, original music or a combination of both depending on the needs of the engagement.
