- External IP lead for a Global Fortune 10 petrochemicals company in solving the Board's #2 issue on its global "Top Ten Most Wanted" problems list by selling a patent-intensive, financially challenged 50/50 joint venture, including restructuring a complex web of in- and out-patent licenses to enable the sale and creation of an innovative patent trust to hold the company's patents as a bankruptcy-remote entity.- A global initiative to rationalize and re-source a foreign-based global bank's telecommunications operations and services, including reducing the number of suppliers from over 70 to 5 and outsourcing select functions with the result of exceeding the targeted 30% p.a. cost savings.- Structured a co-opetition strategic alliance between two erstwhile competitors for one to develop and supply a "private label" version of its on-road trucks for the other to enter a new market. Presented particular challenges because our client had never wholesaled before.- Telecom outsourcing for one of the UK's largest banks to transform to IP telephony, and a series of multi-tower ITOs for a southern African country's revenue and customs service.- Private equity and other M&A deals, especially in the telecom and technology sectors.

- 10 years as a core member of a small team acting as in-house counsel supporting all aspects of customer-facing business and internal operations for a global, publicly traded software development and IT services company.
