My first foray into the world of applying new technology to business opportunities was writing pricing models for interest swaps on an IBM XT establishing our team as one of the leaders in the interest rate swap market. Ever since that day I have embraced new technologies and used my unique blend of financial markets knowledge, leadership skills, entrepreneurial drive, innovative ideas, strategic insights and product management skills to deliver competitive edge products.During my journey I have acquired a wide knowledge of all financial markets asset classes including Emerging Markets. I have a detailed understanding of market structure, client segmentation, trading, sales, research and risk management. My deep product knowledge includes OTC and Listed derivative products, cash, forwards, and structured notes.From that initial role with interest rate swaps to applying ‘social technologies’ within UBS Neo I have consistently created compelling value propositions, built and lead global product teams and successfully bridged the business / technology divide. My present challenge is the implementation of a next-generation search engine for Citi Velocity utilizing machine learning, NLP / entity recognition and large language models. I have co-founded an ECN, set up a broker dealer, managed global trading desks and led client technology strategy and implementation for a global futures and options division. I have negotiated strategic partnerships, evaluated business opportunities, and had the satisfaction of increasing market share, profitability, productivity and revolutionizing the client experience. Most of my roles have been globally focused and I have been fortunate enough to live in Tokyo, London and New York and travel extensively on business through Latin America, Asia and Europe. As a result, I have a strong network of personal and professional contacts in financial institutions around the world.
