LOCLET is a location-based game in which players solve and create fun riddles at geographic locations.I co-founded the company and acted as CEO, responsible for Strategy, Business Development, Financing, Marketing and all the other topics that are necessary to keep things running. After closing a new financing round and restructuring the company I changed into the role of an advisor for LOCLET.

I founded and developed a new group within BMW's research group focusing on pre-development of solutions for personal mobility like BMW Connected and the Open Mobility Cloud.BMW Connected is available on all networked end devices: at home, on foot or on the move in the user’s own vehicle, or on public transport. Information relevant to the user is always provided at the right time. We received the CES Innovation Award 2015 in the category "software and mobile apps" for the integration of our BMWi Remote App with a smartwatch (Samsung Galaxy Gear).Under my direction the "BMW personal mobility agenda" with integration to vehicle, smartphone, smartwatch and smartTV was developed. We presented these finally at CES 2015. My group was also involved in the development of a self-parking car featured with integration to a smartwatch ("BMW, pick me up").Responsible for several development teams (disciplinary and functional), budget planning and accountability, strategy contribution and execution. Passionate about developing new solutions and services that assist users in their mobility.

For more than 6 years I was in charge of all navigation and location based services within BMW's research group. My team developed all of the particular navigation functions in-house to enable research on new navigation and LBS topics. We were able to transfer plenty of our pre-development work towards BMW series engineering and finally into our series cars. I built and managed a group of up to 30 people compiling several project teams. I was lucky to work with a team of smart, experienced and hard working engineers that shared my passion for the latest technology and new advantageous services for our future users.We were the first to announce and demonstrate a fully self-learning navigation system in 2009, the worlds first head-up display with augmented navigation information (navigation instructions appear to lie in the street ahead) in 2011 and much more.Responsible for several development teams (disciplinary and functional), budget planning and accountability, strategy contribution and execution. Passionate about developing new navigation solutions and location based services of all kind.

As a technical project manager I was in charge of all in-vehicle traffic telematic functions, worldwide and for all BMW models. My team and I extended existing and developed new traffic telematic functions in various head-unit generations. Furthermore I managed a project to switch from a peer-to-peer (SMS) based content delivery to an encrypted broadcast technology (CA TMC).Over the course of 2 years I took the technical lead in a project to bring traffic telematics to the US. End of 2006 BMW was the first car manufacturer to provide traffic information as part of the navigation system in the USA. Responsible for team of 10 engineers, budget planning, strategy contribution and execution. Managed several projects with strong players in the automotive and telematics industry.
