Grew a team of two to a team of 11 in three countries in less than 10 months. 2011 award for site of the year for energy storage for the world’s largest Lithium Ion battery storage system commissioned in September of 2011. The site in Laurel Mountain has 32MW power and 16 MWH capacity connected to a 100 MW wind farm. Developed quality improvement processes resulting cost avoidance and warranty reductions of over $0.5M. Supported sites in the US, Europe, China, and Chile. Developed reliability and quality improvements, supported customers, quoted and sold upgrades and services totaling $1.9M for 2012. Systems include spinning reserve, VAR, and frequency control battery inverter systems 1-32 MW in size, hybrid bus, cars, aircraft and auto starter batteries, cell tower back up, data back up and commercial battery powered products, medical products, and tools.

Helt Engineering is an engineering consulting business providing engineering support and program management in the field of Electronics and HVAC Engineering. I am currently supporting 6 customers, one commercial building owner, the second largest HW and SW consulting firm in India, three major motor manufacturers, and a controls development firm. My current areas of focus are large buildings, energy analysis and problem solving working with two HVAC consulting firms. I am supporting patent investigation, variable speed drive applications, advanced product planning, writing application guides, prior art searches and review, expert witness, and electronic controls reliability improvement, design reviews and problem solving.
