As an installation technician my role was to deliver a product to the customer through support in the field in every way possible. This included everything from conduit and wire installation all the way to startup and functional tests. Our goal was to provide a lower cost and lower maintenance option while still performing at a competitive level in the controls industry.

I started as a field technician installing devices and equipment under the supervision of an experienced Controls Startup Technician, I would later become a startup technician myself. When my computer skills were recognized and combined with a universal need in the office for support in estimating and project management areas including inventory management and purchasing. I used my GI Bill to better myself in microsoft office products during my work in the office. My estimating experience used my abilities learned in the field as well as engineering abilities to deliver an itemized estimate including preliminary sizing of valves among other products to produce the most accurate estimate possible. This office experience lead me to a well rounded learning experience of the controls field and project management thereof. My time here working with extraordinary colleagues was a defining moment in discovering my interest in HVAC and mechanical systems.
