Youngest staff member promoted to the level of Vice President.Winner of FH’s biennial “Team Player Award” recognizing contributions made in the Beijing, China office.Established FH’s Information and Technology practice in China. Managed 12-person team in Beijing and Shanghai that directed China-wide corporate communications programs for Nortel Networks, Imation, Monsanto Company, and Intel. Also responsible for corporate communications programs for Anheuser-Busch, Emerson Electric, the Almond Board of California, and the California Prune Board.Led government negotiations to establish Monsanto’s first joint venture seed manufacturing facility in Hebei, China.Spearheaded Chinese media relations for the 1996 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial and Leaders Meetings held in the Philippines. Worked with Philippine Ambassador to China, Romualdo Ong to provide ongoing news updates on APEC meeting activities.Member of media relations team during 1999 Papal visit to St. Louis, and was responsible for managing media relations at Papal Plaza.Led the logistics team for the 1999 National Governors’ Association Annual Meeting held in St. Louis. Duties included a nationally televised launch event at Gateway Middle School and President Clinton’s address to the NGA delegates. Managed pro bono media relations activities for the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, the Nidus Center for Scientific Enterprise and the World Agricultural Forum.Led the Y2K media relations team for Nortel Networks. This project included development of contingency plans to manage 12 global media response units and preparation of numerous contingency plans.Member of FH team responsible for managing America Online’s 1996 “30-City, 30-Day,” US launch of AOL 3.0.Member of FH team responsible for developing and implementing the St. Louis Rams inaugural community relations program.
