Lead for a team managing/architecting a multi-account AWS control tower environment of sandboxes for technology research and innovation area with over 30 accounts utilizing primarily AWS native services with an emphasis on security. Migrated existing IAM users auth strategy to federated auth using AWS SSO with MFA. Integrated AWS Client VPN Endpoint with SSO federated auth to allow remote workers to use software VPN to connect to resources in private subnets. Refactored existing multi-account VPCs to a hub and spoke transit gateway architecture with centralized ingress and egress traffic routed through AWS Firewall Inspection VPC. Integrated AWS GuardDuty threat detection with AWS Network Firewall to dynamically update the firewall in response to high severity GuardDuty events. Our team utilizes Cloudformation, Stacksets, CDK and Control Tower to automate account vendoring and baselining accounts for project teams.
