• Elected into post after a campus wide election. The Presidential voting saw the largest voter turnout ever in Loughborough for an individual position with 6456 votes cast.• I am the head of an organisation that turns over £10 million and has over 500 full time and part time staff.• I manage a team of 16 individuals who I support and help to deliver executive goals/targets and their own goals and targets.• As a member of the Board of Trustees, I help guide and shape the Unions’ strategic goals and plans and ensure there are plans in place to keep the Union financially sustainable. • Set budgets for various departments within the Union and manage my own budget of £32,350 with sign off responsibilities of up to £50,000.• Represent the views of 23,000 students and ensure that their concerns are voiced in senior university committees in the form of written and verbal reports. These committees can be at a very senior level including University Council alongside Pro Chancellor Lord Seb Coe chaired by Sir Peter Bonfield.• Plan and deliver various campaigns and marketing strategies to get students involved in the Union and to find ways to diversify our income. One of these campaigns ‘Play With Pride’ I have led on has been Nationally recognised and endorsed by (Paula Radcliffe, Adam Gemili, James Anderson, Alistair Cook, Joe Root)• Manage and build relationships with Highest University staff and the local community. These include very close relationship between the Vice Chancellor and The University Executive also ensuring the improving relations including councillors and local MPs (MP Nicky Morgan - Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities)

With an extensive range of golf products, covering a wide choice of price points, my role was to deliver golf goods to our clientele with excellent customer service. With over 1,000 shops in our buying group, we had to be competitive against online retailers. As such, negotiating and price matching was all part of the role.
