Experienced OLD (On-Line Developer!) with over 25 years web development and over 50 years programming behind me now available for freelance work on PHP/mySQL/Wordpress and related web and database projects.After starting as a trainee pilot in the RAF I moved on to electronics design at Marconi Space and Defence working on high performance embedded processors for air-to-air missle. After that it was on to NAG to develop software in the ToolPack project and to work on Software Environments as we called them - compilers, tools and fourth generation systems.I developed Gopher and WWW services in 1994 and moved to Domino Systems Ltd as Programme Manager controlling their work with the likes of Dell, SmithKline Beecham, Lloyds and others.During this time I had been working on UK Theatre Web with my wife developing the first national theatre information website and listings service. We became suppliers to, amongst others, Whatsonstage and the BBC and developed more enhanced search and listings capabilities.Dynamic Listing Ltd was born in 2001 to carry on the work with theatre listings and this lead, by 2007 to the first ticket availability and price search site - SeatChoice, ticket price comparison.I have worked across many areas; developing the first on-line ticket sales systems for the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and Wycombe Swan as well as affiliate white label systems.Award winning playwright, director and actor - http://www.rmji.co.uk
