Drax plc are a FTSE 250 company providing a range of power services including power generation, electricity supply, carbon reduction certificates and energy services such as electric vehicle infrastructure. As a senior member of the BA team in the business transformation department, my role involved three key areas of responsibility: • Lead BA. As lead BA I was responsible for liaising with senior stakeholders to understand their strategic and operational needs. I undertook critical analysis in areas of strategy, business cases and project delivery. I also steered the analysis of the BA project team, including planning, oversight and quality. Key projects have included a processes improvement project, a project to implement a new CRM system and a long-term programme to support the evolving energy services business. • BA practice management. As part of the Senior BA team, I was responsible for maximising the value delivered by the BA team. This included leading the design and implementation of a BA Operating Model which ensured our services were relevant, our capabilities were comprehensive, our delivery was effective and we had all the tools and training we needed. I led improvement initiatives and undertook an annual maturity assessment which increased our maturity rating from 0.9 to 2.9 (out of 4) over two years. • BA line management. I was responsible for managing, coaching and mentoring a team of five BAs. This involved managing their performance, well-being, training and development.

Flow Group is an AIM listed company developing innovative energy saving products. I was engaged to implement a solution for the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and Supply Chain functions. This involved iteratively defining requirements, designing processes and implementing releases as the business grew and evolved.

NEP provide care, treatment and support services for people with mental health issues. I led a team of four business analysts on the implementation of a new Patient Records System. I was responsible for defining the business areas requiring analysis, recommending the analysis approach and deliverables and monitoring progress, as well as performing analysis myself.

Enecsys have developed an innovative product for the Solar PV market (solar energy). I was engaged to define and implement a new web-based Energy Monitoring system for users of Enecsys products. I worked with the business to define a set of requirements and then collaborated with a team of developers to implement the system via a series of Scrum sprints.

This was a short assignment to deliver a Capability Maturity assessment of Visa’s Enterprise Architecture department. I was engaged to perform this work by Smart421, a successful Consultancy Firm in Ipswich, now part of Nasstar Group.

EDF needed a standard approach for the business to submit system change requests to the various IT teams. After mapping the ‘as is’ processes a common ‘to be’ process was agreed and documented for implementation via a subsequent project.

I co-founded Alton8 in 2003 to provide IT consultancy services to corporate clients. I acted as principal consultant on many client engagements as well as promoting and directing company activities. Alton8 employed 10 staff at its peak and I exited the business when my co-owner and I sold in 2010.

Microgen provides software packages and consultancy services to Finance, Insurance and Utility markets. My role was to work with clients, usually large energy companies around the world, to understand requirements and configure Microgen's software to deliver a comprehensive solution. I was also involved in new product development and implementation management. I was a member of the Senior Management Group.
