Provided leadership for operations over all functions of the center, originally in Wichita, KS. Tapped by the company to bring a new facility online in Olathe. This included leading teams up to 200 during peak season, with 11 direct reports, and managing budgets up to $2M.• Directed the handling of less than truckload, full truckload and export shipments, maintaining timely, efficient and accurate shipments. • Managed traffic functions for the facility, ensuring customer routing and on time shipping performance. • Oversaw returns function involving business customer and direct consumer returns, increasing the amount returned to stock for alternate sales opportunities. • Led improvement projects including SAP upgrades, training, and implementation of Foreign Trade Zone, determining ROI, vendor selection, efficiencies, and capacities. • Assisted indirectly and on-site with Switzerland, Germany, and a new Minnesota facilities SAP configuration and Go-Live. • Implemented a process change for meeting Customs guidelines for a facility and operations to apply for and maintain a Foreign Trade Zone status.• Worked with 3rd party contingent employee agencies including development of a pay by carton outbound truckload loading program. • Led continuous improvement projects resulting in multiple savings on forklift maintenance and improved work and quality processes.• Consistent member on multi-department task force efforts from purchasing through sales that affected supply chain management.
