Constructed and managed various components for a PC-based skateboarding video game “Kickflip”, inspired by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Responsibilities included in-game modules, options screens, and precision tuning of physics constants. Designed and implemented a chunked download algorithm, creating a custom fork of the ARJ compression algorithm with game download retry functionality, optimizing the download process for the large PC game over <=14.4k dial-up connections. Utilized C++, MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes), Win32 API, and VB6 (Visual Basic 6) for the project's development.
