I've been crawling my way through The Origins and History of Consciousness, by Erich Neumann. It's rough, admittedly, but I'm doing it more so for the mental exercise than the enjoyment of it. Though I seem to have little time these days, I love to read, write, take in a good movie, and fish; and there's hardly better time spent than with my son, grazing the pasture at Half Price Books in downtown Dallas. The joy on his face, as if each book were made of pure sugar cane, makes me think that his mother and I are doing at least one thing right.So that's me at the moment.
