Part of a 2 man team providing 1st, 2nd & 3rd Line Support to ParentPay network which included 6 office sites and 3 Data Centres. Being the primary contact for all network issues within the business I was able to rapidly adapt to all the new technologies that ParentPay implemented. The new technologies that I had hands on experience with and learnt were Cisco DCNM, Cisco Firepower, Cisco FTDs, Juniper SRX, Cisco 9800 Cloud-Based WLC, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco WSA, Huawei Firewall. These jobs would vary from adding or amending firewall rules, fault finding on the network, out of hours work, create new WSA Policies and create new VXLAN networks on our DCNM network.• Managing the new SD-WAN sites, utilising Juniper SRX firewalls alongside Cisco 9300 Series switches as the backbone of the network for each site, also having involvement with the role out of the new Cisco 9800 Cloud-Based WLC for all sites. I was sole engineer for the office uplift at ParentPay main site in Coventry, where I upgraded all the old Cisco 2960 switches to the new 9300 Series overnight.• I was also the main network engineer who visited and carried out any maintenance, fault finding and upgrades to our London Data Centre equipment. Some jobs were to install new Lantronix Remote Console access to all our network equipment in the DC and remote sites. Install the new DC Management Switches and Dual-Stack them.• I maintained our Firewalls rules, any new firewalls rules that project engineers or software developers wanted had to be tested and implemented by myself through our ticketing system. This normally involved me amending or adding new Firewall rules to Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Huawei Firewall and also on Cisco DCNM.

Currently a Military Integree within a Sensitive Government Agency working as part of a 20+ team of network engineers which are split between military and civilians in the WAN Networks Team. Management of the various WAN sites across the organisation is a daily routine along with troubleshooting faults using Service Manager Management Tool. Projects involved in are configuring 2 different platforms of deployable equipment, building the configuration guides, configure the CISCO Routers & Switchs along with Catapans.Completed a 6 Month placement with an CAMPUS enterprise, manging Nexus Switches configurations, building 3 new network platforms and assisting in reallocation/re-cabling of the on-site Data Centre.

Part of a new 4 man team which was formed to specialise in the Information Management Exploitation of designing and implementation of online collaborative working strategies to improve the sites and RAF electronic ways of working through the use of InfoPath, MOSS and Office Products. This included continual support during these projects life-cycles as well as training users on how to use/maintain these new and improved ways of working. Due to previous experience of implementing change across InfoPath and MOSS, I was appointed the SME (subject matter expert) for Air Commands C4i sections. (Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence)

Part of a 6-member team in providing DUS (Desktop User Support) to the sites 1000+ users which included problem solving, fault rectification and installation of hardware across a plethora of platforms. Part of a 2 man team to research, plan, develop and build the MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server) site collections infrastructure whilst also training users on how to migrate their data from old archaic NTFS files structures to the new system.
