About Robb Jetty

I have gained extensive renewable energy experience through executive leadership positions across the entire industry value chain. Since 2002, I have been engaged in the development, finance, construction, and operation of over $3B (~2GW) of commercial and utility scale solar and energy storage projects in over 40 states across the country. I have intentionally spent my career gathering experiences from multiple viewpoints, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of the entire industry and project life cycle from market entry to development, interconnection, entitlement, permitting, and project finance on through to engineering, procurement, construction, O&M, and asset management. I have successfully proven my ability to profitably scale businesses through detailed process implementation while building and leading high-performance teams, and fostering a strong culture with a positive work environment.

    In my role as Chief Operating Officer, I was fortunate to build and lead a team of the industry's finest professionals that comprise the Development, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Asset Management functions. I was responsible for both the efficiency of the entire organization and all operations involved in driving an awarded project to commercial operation and beyond. In late 2018 I was hired by General Electric to transform the ~50-person solar development division into an Independent Power Producer and sell it to the open market, which we successfully accomplished 2019 with the sale to BlackRock. I was responsible for establishing the processes, staffing plan, and digital infrastructure necessary across the entire project lifecycle. My leadership resulted in a compound annual growth rate of ~70%, culminating in over 300 completed projects nationwide and over 500 additional projects under development. I successfully managed the growth of the organization to over 250 employees creating a 3GW pipeline during one of the most challenging social/economic environments in history, resulting in billions of dollars of investment in new renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities included leading retail and wholesale solar power origination activities through the development of opportunities to construct merchant solar electric power plants in the Eastern U.S., managing a team responsible for building a pipeline of over 300MWs of viable utility scale projects across PJM. Led the development process for the entire life cycle for successfully contracted projects, defined regional strategy, worked with land owners and consultants to identify, and select sites for development, and maintained relationships with members of utilities, government, and regional partners as necessary to achieve company goals. Successfully completed a $21M (6MW) project in New Jersey with Macquarie Energy located on four ProLogis warehouses that was the largest merchant solar power facility in North America to be located on roof-tops.
