Robert Glassett is a Vice President of Application Development at Us Imaging Network. He possess expertise in application development, databases, html, social media, product development and 20 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Bob is hands-down the best manager I've ever had, and a great developer as well. He's a friend and mentor to this day, and supported me when I needed an advocate in difficult projects." and "It's going to be hard to fit how awesome Bob is in this "textarea", but I'm going to try! I reported indirectly and then directly to Bob on the Ordering team at BN.com which was the 4th largest online retailer at the time. I grew up in a small town in NJ but BN.com was in the fast paced and big New York City! It could have been somewhat intimidating but I booted up my workstation, launched Visual Studio and felt right at home. But it just wasn't my trusty compiler that made me feel at ease. I quickly began to realize how awesome my team was. Bob was my boss's boss, and I realized immediately that Bob was an awesome guy & truly a stellar technologist. The position could not have been better! Bob had the respect of EVERYONE on our team. I also moved to another team at BN.com (which was closer to home in NJ for me), and EVERYONE in that office loved Bob too. Now it just wasn't that Bob was a great guy (which he is), it was that he could also guide us through deep design discussions and plan out solutions that made technical and business sense.
