About Robert Mccreary

Robert Mccreary is a Sr. Director of National Security and Diplomacy at Peraton. He possess expertise in international relations, government, crisis management, policy, strategic communications and 32 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Robert McCreary is truly a dedicated and determined individual that continues to positively impact the world on a regular basis. Robert and I worked together on Operation Soccer Balls in order to help the Afghanistan Youth National Players evacuate to safety. He selflessly put the best interest of the vulnerable children of Afghanistan ahead of himself and continued to advocate for those left behind. Robert is extremely intelligent and uses his expertise to benefit and support those around him. He is an incredible team player and does not allow setbacks to dismay his progress. He is an absolute pleasure to work with!", "As Robert’s former deputy chief of staff and military affairs aide, I can attest that Robert is an exceptional leader. His positivity, humility, vision and underlying confidence made his entire staff feel like a team. He motivated everyone to be leaders of their domains by listening, delegating, providing recommendations as needed, and most importantly allowing the staff to address projects with their own creative ideas. His expertise in National Security, Defense, Energy and Foreign Affairs is top notch. He worked tirelessly for our active duty service members and veterans. His forward thinking, creativity, ingenuity, people skills and ability to always be three steps ahead allowed a freshman member of congress to pass legislation, which is extremely rare. In fact, freshmen members are told during orientation that passing legislation as a freshman is not going to happen. Robert would learn the issues from independent organizations and encourage everyone to get the facts to help people and businesses. He always said, “you can’t help people if you don’t understand so take time to read and don’t listen to the noise.” His bipartisan approach in listening to stakeholders is a class act. Furthermore, he would do everything in his power to help someone in need regardless of politics. For example, in January 2010, a major earthquake killed over 250,000 people in Haiti. Robert heard from many worried families that had adopted children in Haiti. They couldn’t get in contact and had no idea what to do or how to help. Robert took two weeks leave and traveled to Haiti on his own to find the children. He ended up working with Canadian Special Forces and was credited with saving lives at several orphanages. He delivered food, water, medical supplies and medical care (Robert was a medic in the military and a combat veteran). I directly know how incredibly challenging this situation was, because I helped him. He wears his heart on his sleeve but is as tough as they come. As a chief of staff, he would always lead by example. From working on PEPAR (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) with Bono to helping the children of Haiti, he not only talks the talk, but he walks the walk and directly leads the way. Today, he continues to support veterans and our men and women in uniform through his work as a member of the board of the charitable organization Pivotal Moments (www.pivotalmoments.org). Robert is the most sincerely generous and genuinely philanthropic person I have ever met. He wouldn’t hesitate to give a complete stranger the shirt off his back. And I am honored to have had the opportunity to know and work with Robert over the past 14 years.", and "Robert is one of the best bosses I have ever had. He was organized, focused, and effective. He was skilled in understanding the legislative and political process. But beyond that, he was an empathetic leader who cared about his staff as individuals and encouraged us to bring "our whole selfs" to work. I would work for Robert again in a heart beat!"

Listed skills include International Relations, Government, Crisis Management, Policy, and 33 others.
