About Robert Mccreary

Robert Mccreary is a Sr. Director of National Security and Diplomacy at Peraton. He possess expertise in international relations, government, crisis management, policy, strategic communications and 32 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Robert McCreary is truly a dedicated and determined individual that continues to positively impact the world on a regular basis. Robert and I worked together on Operation Soccer Balls in order to help the Afghanistan Youth National Players evacuate to safety. He selflessly put the best interest of the vulnerable children of Afghanistan ahead of himself and continued to advocate for those left behind. Robert is extremely intelligent and uses his expertise to benefit and support those around him. He is an incredible team player and does not allow setbacks to dismay his progress. He is an absolute pleasure to work with!", "As Robert’s former deputy chief of staff and military affairs aide, I can attest that Robert is an exceptional leader. His positivity, humility, vision and underlying confidence made his entire staff feel like a team. He motivated everyone to be leaders of their domains by listening, delegating, providing recommendations as needed, and most importantly allowing the staff to address projects with their own creative ideas. His expertise in National Security, Defense, Energy and Foreign Affairs is top notch. He worked tirelessly for our active duty service members and veterans. His forward thinking, creativity, ingenuity, people skills and ability to always be three steps ahead allowed a freshman member of congress to pass legislation, which is extremely rare. In fact, freshmen members are told during orientation that passing legislation as a freshman is not going to happen. Robert would learn the issues from independent organizations and encourage everyone to get the facts to help people and businesses. He always said, “you can’t help people if you don’t understand so take time to read and don’t listen to the noise.” His bipartisan approach in listening to stakeholders is a class act. Furthermore, he would do everything in his power to help someone in need regardless of politics. For example, in January 2010, a major earthquake killed over 250,000 people in Haiti. Robert heard from many worried families that had adopted children in Haiti. They couldn’t get in contact and had no idea what to do or how to help. Robert took two weeks leave and traveled to Haiti on his own to find the children. He ended up working with Canadian Special Forces and was credited with saving lives at several orphanages. He delivered food, water, medical supplies and medical care (Robert was a medic in the military and a combat veteran). I directly know how incredibly challenging this situation was, because I helped him. He wears his heart on his sleeve but is as tough as they come. As a chief of staff, he would always lead by example. From working on PEPAR (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) with Bono to helping the children of Haiti, he not only talks the talk, but he walks the walk and directly leads the way. Today, he continues to support veterans and our men and women in uniform through his work as a member of the board of the charitable organization Pivotal Moments (www.pivotalmoments.org). Robert is the most sincerely generous and genuinely philanthropic person I have ever met. He wouldn’t hesitate to give a complete stranger the shirt off his back. And I am honored to have had the opportunity to know and work with Robert over the past 14 years.", and "Robert is one of the best bosses I have ever had. He was organized, focused, and effective. He was skilled in understanding the legislative and political process. But beyond that, he was an empathetic leader who cared about his staff as individuals and encouraged us to bring "our whole selfs" to work. I would work for Robert again in a heart beat!"

The member organizations designate representatives to serve on the Overseas Security Advisory Council to provide direction and guidance to develop programs that most benefit the U.S. private sector overseas.AuthorityThe Council is established under authority of the Secretary of State pursuant to 22 U.S.C. § 2656 and in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), as amended, 5 U.S.C. App., and its regulations, 41 C.F.R. Part 102-3. The approval of OSAC’s Charter by the Under Secretary for Management constitutes a determination by the Secretary of State that the activities of the Council are determined to be in the public interest and directly related to overseas security functions of the Department of State.HistoryThe increase in terrorism over the last 35 years and the continuing threat against U.S. interests overseas has forced many American companies to seek advice and assistance from the U.S. Government, particularly the Department of State. In 1985, a handful of chief executive officers from prominent American companies met with then Secretary of State George P. Shultz to promote cooperation between the American private sector worldwide and the U.S. Government on security issues. • 30Th G8 Summit
Chief Liaison To The President And Prime Minister Of Turkey And The White House
    30Th G8 Summit Mar 2004 - Jul 2004
The 30th G8 summit was held in Sea Island, Georgia, United States, on June 8–10, 2004. The Group of Seven (G7) was an unofficial forum that brought together the heads of the richest industrialized countries: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada starting in 1976. The G8, meeting for the first time in 1997, was formed with the addition of Russia. In addition, the president of the European Commission has been formally included in summits since 1981. The summits were not meant to be linked formally with wider international institutions; and in fact, a mild rebellion against the stiff formality of other international meetings was a part of the genesis of cooperation between France's President Giscard d'Estaing and West Germany's Chancellor Helmut Schmidt as they conceived the initial summit of the Group of Six in 1975.The G8 summits during the 21st-century have inspired widespread debates, protests and demonstrations; and the two- or three-day event becomes more than the sum of its parts, elevating the participants, the issues and the venue as focal points for anarchists, anticapitalists and domestic terrorists.
