I’m located in Ventura and am currently looking for a Staff or Senior Accountant role either fully remote or hybrid in the Santa Barbara or Ventura area.I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in June 2016 and moved to San Francisco to start my career in public accounting. I spent 6 months working on complex tax returns for high net worth individuals and their partnerships, then 6 months auditing local governments, school districts and water districts. Through Robert Half I had a short month-long bookkeeping assignment before landing a position at Sientra, Inc where I spent the next 6.5 years.At Sientra I was the Senior Billing Specialist and helped eliminate billing errors, automate processes and transition from Sage 100 to Oracle Fusion. On top of billing I was also in charge of managing pricing in Oracle and creating new customers. A few months ago the pricing and customer creation duties were transferred to Sales Operations. I transferred to Sales Operations to try something new without having to leave Sientra. Unfortunately my position in Sale Operations was elimianted due to budget cuts, and I am now looking forward to finding another position to put my accounting experience to use.I excelled in my AR position thanks to my accounting education. I was already comfortable with GAAP and SOX compliance when I helped Sientra establish controls for billing.
