Robert Welch is a specialty pharmacy liaison who works in the Infectious Disease department at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Amongst his core values, Robert believes that patient health literacy, medication adherence, and streamlined healthcare delivery processes are critical to a comprehensive and successful health system. In addition to personally managing patients’ pharmacy needs, he also runs a free platform to help educate and train pharmacy technicians of tomorrow called Rx SuperTech. Robert holds a BA in Political Science from Montclair State University, and is currently pursuing his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Baruch College. In addition to his education, he has earned several certifications and awards – such as the Student Presenter of the Year Award from the Montclair State Social Sciences Department in 2018 when he presented Music and Its Revolution: Perspectives from 2011. He has also earned his CPhT-Adv (Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, an Advanced Facilitator certification from the United Nations, as well as an Ethics in Public Health Research certification from CITI. Outside of the pharmacy, Robert is also an accomplished violinist and composer, having performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Spivey Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Cairo Opera House, and more. His compositions have also been performed around the world, notably his Farmer’s Lullaby, Symphonie Masri, An American Rhapsody, and Inscape: Suite for Strings
