In more than three decades working with and on behalf of various entities as both a consultant and advisor, Kaplan has planned, designed, positioned, directed and executed more than 250 small and high dollar fundraising and capital campaigns, grassroots, voter outreach, email, direct mail, social media, branding and other communications programs for a variety of interests. His experience includes acting as Finance Director for more than 30 statewide initiative campaigns where he exceeded and doubled fundraising goals on multiple occasions. He is an award-winning expert in strategy and technique, message development, targeting, and donor development with a deep bench of experience in online lead generation, social media, email, direct mail, grassroots organizing and voter communication programs. Kaplan began his political, public affairs and fundraising career in 1966, at the ripe age of 9, as the youngest envelope stuffing, precinct walking, lawn sign planting and telephone soliciting for votes and money volunteer for a California State Assembly campaign.
