Throughout the course of my career, I ► Co-invented the HiPCO reactor, enabling first-ever large-scale production of high quality single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). My subsequent work has led to improvements in the reactor and has made the material available to researchers worldwide through NoPo Nanotechnologies.► Played a key role in development and go-to-market of the Identafi 3000® oral cancer detection device.► Contributed key early stage developments in nanoshell production control and scaleup underpinning Aurolase Therapy®, a novel cancer therapy. ► Served at the NASA Johnson Space Center developing nanotechnology-driven applications and providing expert support to other researchers and projects. I received my Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Rice University, working under Richard E. Smalley, 1996 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry.
