Analyzes essential and desirable operating capabilities, translating these into performance requirements for communication and automation hardware and software.Prepares, submits, and defends requirements for necessary manpower, budget, training and logistical support for the IMO consistent with AITP programs, objectives and goals.Develops a plan of work to be accomplished by section leaders, adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.Oversees safety and security programs for the branch and actively participates in AITP-level programs supporting these critical mission areas.

Serves as Division NCOIC for the Network Services and Security Division (NSSD); responsible for the supervision, mentoring, and welfare of 121 Non-Commissioned Officers and 11 Department of the Army Civilian Instructors; manages the training of approximately 1700 Advanced Individual Training (AIT) trainees, Allied, and Reserve Soldiers for the 25B MOS qualification course annually; advises the Training Director and Division Chief on the training needs and requirements in all matters pertaining to 25B10 and 25N10 in regards to: lifetime learning initiatives utilizing resident training, Distant Learning programs, and simulation in lieu of equipment; manages execution of current Program of Instruction (POI); maintains accountability of $14 million of IT equipment.

First Sergeant of the Headquarters Company of a tactical Civil Affairs Battalion supporting division level and below FORSCOM ARFORGEN requirements, contingency response requirements, and theater cooperation activities to the EUCOM AOR; responsible for manning, equipping, training, readiness, health, morale, discipline, and family quality of life for 76 Soldiers; supervises the maintenance and accountability of $13 million in equipment and resources; oversees a budget of over $300,000; supports Theater Civil Military Support Elements operating in the USAREUR AOR.

Serves as the Battalion S6 Senior Information Systems Technician in a rapidly deployable Civil Affairs Battalion; responsible for the operation, planning, installment, management, maintenance and training of all Battalion's automation equipment; coordinates external Signal systems support requirements; prepares and implements standard operating procedures (SOP), information security policies; advises the fielding of all tactical communications; responsible for the health and welfare of 11 Soldiers; accountable for communications equipment in excess of $1,000,000.

Supervised both the government and SRA contracted support teams responsible for communications between Senior OCIO leadership, Division Chief, and IT Branch Chief Manages and maintains four networks with 14,000 computers and 760 applications and servers totaling over $32M+ in support of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Joint Staff (JS); ensures resolution of all network computer issues and oversees the implementation of infrastructure upgrades and modifications; provides technical guidance and support for systems engineering and automation integration efforts; plans and coordinates continuity of operations ensuring continuous Information Technology services at the Pentagon and three remote sites.

Supervised both the government and SRA contracted support teams responsible for communications between Senior OCIO leadership, Division Chief, and IT Branch Chief IT Asset Management. Management and oversight of the Joint Staff Office of the Chief Information Office IT Asset Management Branch supervising 11 Personnel at three locations to include two warehouses totaling 6000sqare feet; Responsible for inventory and administration for over 40,000 line items valued at over $50 Million; Conducts cyclic inventories of over 400 Joint Staff IT hand receipts in accordance with mandated IT property accountability requirements; Requisitions of IT hardware, software, peripherals, and IT specific supplies; Government Purchase Card Holder procures IT goods and services through the execution of local contracts.

Brigade Information Systems Section NCOIC within the Army's fist Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; responsible for providing communications support to over 4,000 Soldiers with the mission to provide classified and unclassified LAN, WAN, Information Security communications support, integrity and availability of automation systems, network security scans, information assurance vulnerability (IAVA) reporting and updates; accountable for server equipment valued in excess of $250,000

Perform LAN administrator duties on 170 secret and unclassified computer systems; configures and maintains clients and network servers, routers, switches, hubs, and modems; establishes complete all Combat Service Support Automated Information Systems Interface radios; manages and maintains three satellite systems; : Administer Record and Special Operations Communications (SOCOMM) for 120 clients in 10 states; configures and maintains client and server networks to include terminal servers, routers, hubs and modems; administers Site Communications Processors (SCP); processes over 140,000 global messages per month; provides training and technical assistance to SOCOMM clients and communications center personnel; selectively staffed organization reporting directly to the Under Secretary of the Air Force.
