Head of Instron’s Europe and Asia Finance function reporting directly to the Managing Director. Responsibility for: Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and IT functions. Financial modelling, due diligence and negotiation and subsequent integration / review of strategic direction► 10x Profitability improvement► Formed new group companies in Italy, Turkey and Spain► Successful development of $6m capital project for transfer of manufacturing activity to Czech Republic► Period close timetable reduced from 9 to 4 daysExperience:► Improvement in Internal Audit Sarbanes-Oxley compliance evaluation from lowest to highest rating► Integration of European branches into group structure in Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Italy and Switzerland► Member of global ERP replacement steering group► Implementation of European VAT compliance procedures in line with branch integration programme► Transfer pricing policy reviews undertaken to support validity of inter-co pricing model► Staff development including management of employees from graduation to CIMA qualification / internal FC roles► Long range plans by business team including reviews with ITW Executive Vice President► HMRC payroll and expenses audit completed with no penalties► Currency hedging for group’s US dollar denominated export activity
